Galway Atlantaquaria
Join us for a tour of Galway Atlantaquaria, Ireland’s largest native species aquarium. , a Multi-Award-Winning Attraction, located in the Heart of Salthill, on the shores of Galway Bay, the Blue Heart of the Wild Atlantic Way. Our Aquarium cares for over 100 Native Aquatic Species from Ireland’s Lakes, Rivers, and Ocean. Portumna Castle and Gardens (OPW)
The great semi-fortified house at Portumna was built before 1618 by Richard Burke or de Burgo, 4th Earl of Clanricarde.  The ground floor of the house is now open to the public.  Exhibitions in the castle and Gate House. Portumna Castle is surrounded by the towns' local attractions - Lough Derg and the Forest Park.
Boyle Abbey (OPW)
An impressive and well preserved Cistercian Monastery which was founded in the 12th century under the patronage of the local ruling family, the MacDermotts. Boyle Abbey retains its ability to impress the visitor as one of the most formidable of the early Cistercian foundations in Ireland. A restored gatehouse of 16th/17th century houses an exhibition.
National Museum of Ireland - Country Life
The National Museum of Ireland – Country Life, is home to the national collection of objects representing the traditional way of life in Ireland since 1850. Visitors are invited to experience the story of Irish country life between 1850 and 1950 through the innovative combination of artefacts and displays, archival video footage and interactive screens.
