· A2 white Paper

· A3 Black Sugar Paper

· Pencil

· Rubber

· PVA Glue

· Glue Spreader/ Knife

· Black markers

· Scissors

· Draw a large circle onto the A2 white paper.

· Draw a large Squared off head (approx A4 size) within the circle .

· Add shoulders to the head shape

· Add Hair to squared head shape

· Draw in the neck of a shirt or jumper

· Add bolt shape to side of the head

· Add eyes and mouth

· Shadow all the areas around the eyes, nose, mouth, ears etc. (these negative shapes will help create the illusion of cheekbones, nose etc.)

· Number each element of your design that will be coloured black

· Carefully colour in with black marker to create shawdowed areas

To Finish

· Cut carefully around outside circle and body and mount on A3 black paper for finished effect.
