Teen Party Games

A few more party games to keep the teens entertained

Flour Tag

A fun tag game where you get tagged with flour filled nylon sacks.

You need dark shirts (buy some cheap t-shirts) and flour-filled Nylon stockings. Choose a person to be the referee. Determine a jail area. Each player must have a dark T-shirt on (black or navy blue work well). Give each player a nylon that is filled with flour. Tie the nylon at the end to make it into a ball shape. The group plays tag as normal but players are knocked out by throwing the flour torpedoes at each other.

You will be able to see who has been hit because they will be hit with a flour mark. The referee must keep their eye on the players and call out those who are hit to the jail area. Keep a damp rag handy to clean up the shirts between rounds. A variation is to make two teams. Set up a flag at each end of the playing field. Have the teams have to get the flag from their opponents side without being tagged.

Water Balloon Toss

Pair off players into groups of two and have them face their partner about 3 feet apart.

Begin tossing balloons to each other. Every time the balloon is caught the player that caught the balloon takes a step back. Eventually someone is going to get wet! You win by being the furthest apart while still successfully catching the water balloon.

Monster Maker

Using only arms and legs, teams complete to make a monster. Fun game for parties.

Divide group into two or three teams of around 6 to 8 players. Announce that each team is to create an ugly monster with a varying number of legs and arms which are to touch the floor. The host first calls out the number of legs and arms, for example, if teams have 8 players the host might start with 12 legs and 6 arms. Give about a minute for each team to form the monster.

Use a clock or stopwatch. Let each team finish if they can. Then go to the next round. Progressively reduce the number of legs and increase the number of arms. So the next monster to form might have 8 legs and 8 arms. Then 6 legs and 10 arms. Then 4 legs and 12 arms! Have fun and be creative!
