Primary Summer Camps via Zoom (7 - 12 years).
Have you a science girl or guy always asking how and why? A week of fun science activities is just up their street. This summer we are offering virtual camps via Facebook Live and via Zoom. In August we hope to have “In Venue” camps too. With 2 activities per day (10.00am and 12.00pm), your children will have fun making solar ovens, devising a water purification system, growing crystals, doing dissections (optional) launching rockets and making the best slime. Before the camp. we will post a pack of specialist materials to you. In your kit we will supply a list of some readily available household items that you will need to provide. Every second week we have Harry Potter themed activities.

Teen Summer Camps via Zoom (13 - 16yrs) : Enjoy experimenting and interacting with like minded people at this camp. You will investigate natural dyes and dye your own t-shirt, do a chemical synthesis and grow spectacular crystals, do a food science project, launch rockets and more. Before the camp. we will post a pack of specialist materials to you. In your kit we will supply a list of some readily available household items that you will need to provide. Access to your kitchen is ideal so you can have water and a means of heating things. Groups will be limited to 10 so there will be plenty of opportunity for assistance form the leaders and interaction between the students. Camp starts at 2.00pm each day Monday to Friday.

In Venue Camps:

We plan to run in-venue camps at a few key locations in line with the Government road map for the easing of Covid19 restrictions phase 4 and phase 5. We are working with our venues to follow Government guidelines on social distancing whilst ensuring the camp will be as interactive and enjoyable as usual for the children.
Our plans include:
  1. Two shorter camps per day instead of one longer camp (10 am – 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm – 4 pm) Monday to Friday.
  2. A maximum of 12 children will attend each camp seated at 2 metre distance
  3. To minimise sharing of materials we will organise individual box of materials for each child which they will keep for the week
  4. One short staggered break per camp group for food and a game
  5. Hand washing station for each group
  6. Cleaning of work areas before, during and after camp

At the moment, camps are povisionally planned for Dublin, Cork and Wicklow in August. Keep an eye on our site for updated details.
