Set within a haven of landscaped gardens and private grounds, on the banks of the Brosna River & waterfalls, a tributary of the famous River Moy, the Downhill House Hotel is family owned and managed by the Moylett Family, who have been welcoming guests for over 70 years. The hotel is a ten minute leisurely walk from Ballina town centre, and serves as an ideal base for exploring the beautiful and unspoilt West of Ireland.


The Beautiful Hotel; Service & Tradition

The Downhill House Hotel boasts over 60 luxurious en-suite bedrooms including a Presidential Suite. All rooms are designed for comfort with the Superior Suites offering large roomy views of the gardens. The spacious feel of the suites makes them suitable for business or pleasure. Larger Family Suites, interconnecting rooms are also available for family holidays, with the emphasis on space and comfort; this ensures a truly relaxing break for all.

Eagles Leisure Club

Enjoy a swim in the Downhill House Hotel Leisure Club and visit our Ozone treated 18 meter swimming pool & separate Children swimming pool, get fit in the hotel Gymnasium, take a class in the Aerobic Studio, or simply unwind and relax in the Sauna, Jacuzzi, Steamroom. Sunbed, and Squash Court also available for residents. Take a Seaweed Bath in nearby sea side town; Enniscrone.

Children’s ‘Cubs Club’

Downhill ‘Cubs Club’ promises a range of activities to suit every child, including sports, games, swimming, Arts & Crafts, laughter and fun holiday memories while staying at the hotel. Cubs Club is open during all the mid term breaks and entire summer holiday.
Kids ‘Tea Time’ served in Dining Room @ 6pm, followed by Cookies & Milk & DVD shown @ 7pm. Babysitting service available on request.
