Two one-day events have been scheduled in order to provide help and advice to students with disabilities who are considering entering third level education.
The Association for Higher Education Access and Disability (Ahead) is hoping to encourage and reassure those who do not have the confidence to pursue the college option that there is help on hand, the Irish Independent reports.
Ahead will host the first event today (November 22nd) between 10:00 and 14:00 at Thomond Park in Limerick, while the second is scheduled for November 28th in the Helix at Dublin City University between 10:30 and 14:00.
Both open days will feature interactive workshops on topics such as getting the most out of disability services, independent learning and how to apply through the Disability Access Route to Education.
Students, parents, guidance counsellors, resource
teachers and learning support tutors are all invited to attend the events.
