In a freak accident in the US, parents looked on in horror as a huge gust of wind blew an inflatable bouncy castle with three kids inside 50 feet into the air. Two young boys, aged five and six, were seriously injured when they dropped out of the castle from a height of about 50 metres. The third child, a ten year old girl was lucky to escape with minor injuries as she fell out while it was near the ground.
One parent was quoted as saying “ it was like a horror movie. It just kept going up and up. It cleared our building and the trees”. Pictures on the internet show the bouncy castle floating up in the sky.
In a separate incident last year, several children and an elderly person were injured in North Yorkshire when a
bouncy castle was blown away.
