Today, the Central Applications Office (CAO) has issued nearly 75,000 CAO offers to students around the country.
74,013 round one offers have been sent to over 50,000 students this morning. The offers consist of 39,398 Level 8 course offers and 34,615 Level 7/6 course offers. 50% of students receiving level 8 course offers today will receive their first choice.
It is important for students to remember that it is possible to receive two offers, one level 8 course offer and one level 7/6 course offer. Only one of these courses may be accepted, and students must choose between the two.
CAO advises students to use the online system when accepting course offers, as it is believed to be ‘easier, safer and faster’ than returning the paper offer notice by post.
Joe Grady, General Manager of CAO has stressed the importance of double checking all details on the information students receive from the CAO, asking them to contact the CAO immediately if there are any errors or omissions in any of the correspondence received from them.
For students disappointed
with todays offers, there is still hope that they will receive offers at 6am on Thursday 28th August, when second round offers are released.
