The 2015 Leaving Cert Results have been posted and teens are already thinking about the next step after all the celebrations ( and commiserations!) are over.

The past week we have seen a lot of smiles and tears with results but while the first round CAO offers will be released at 6am on Monday the 17th, there is now time for reflection on the vital next steps.

At Schooldays.ie, we like to congratulate all Leaving Cert students who have worked hard these last number of months and we’d like to provide the information they will need in the coming weeks.

Key Dates:

Monday 17th of August
Round One CAO offers - applicants receive an offer by post, by e-mail and SMS text. See CAO.ie for more. (The large newspapers will also publish points on Monday.)

Tuesday 18th of August
This is the last day that LC students can return their request forms for viewing their scripts. For more on reviewing scripts please read our guide. Please see www.examinations.ie for offical details.

Monday August 24 of August
This is the final day that students can either accept or reject offers for the first round of CAO offers.

Wednesday 26th of August
Second round CAO offers will be made available on this day.

Friday/Saturday 28th/29th of August
Viewing of Scripts in schools at appointed times - See Candidate Information booklet. Students should have submitted subject Appeal Applications by Tuesday September 1st (closing date with SEC is 2nd September but applications need to be with schools before this)

Wednesday 2nd of September
Round Two CAO Acceptance closing date 2nd Sept @ 17.15. See CAO.ie for more. This is also the closing date for receipt of Leaving Certificate appeal applications - NB school will require applications to be submitted a day or two earlier in order for applications to be posted to Commission on time. Appeal Fee - €40 per subject - refunded if result upgraded. (€15.50 for L.C.A.P.)

We wish all students and parents the best over the coming days and weeks.
