Nord Anglia International School Dublin today announced that they are now officially accepting student applications for the 2018/19 academic year.

The school is expected to open in September 2018 and will initially educate students from kindergarten to grade 10 (aged 3 to 15) with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) and IB Middle Years Programme (MYP).

Starting from September 2019, the school also plans to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) for students aged 16 to 18.

Students at Nord Anglia Education schools on average achieve a 34 out of 45 points on the IB Diploma Programme and one in three students attend the world’s top 100 universities.

More than 4,000 schools globally teach IB programmes and they are recognised for the way they challenge students to excel in their studies, and encourage both personal and academic achievement. Parents and students who are interested in applying to Nord Anglia International School Dublin can send in their applications online.

The school will not charge an application fee and will be an inclusive school built on the belief that there is no limit to what students can achieve. Class sizes in the school will be 20 per class for early years, and 22 for students in primary and secondary.

Experiencing the most contemporary and personalised learning at NAIS Dublin, students will have the knowledge, skills and understanding for a changing world. The new international school in Dublin will comprise an 800 seat campus located in South County Business Park, Leopardstown and is approximately 8km from Dublin City.

Nord Anglia will invest approximately $3.8 million over the next 11 months to create a world class learning environment for students with a focus on developing life skills such as collaboration, communication, creativity and adaptability.

The campus will feature extensive facilities, including specialist arts and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and maths) facilities to support the delivery of Nord Anglia Education’s collaborations with The Juilliard School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), respectively.

Lord David Puttnam will act as Chairman of the School’s Advisory Board, together with other members, Barry O’Callaghan, Ruairi Quinn and Professor Brian MacCraith of Dublin City University. Nord Anglia Education is in the process of finalising a worldwide selection for an outstanding principal to lead the school and already has a team on the ground meeting parents. Recruitment of the teaching faculty is scheduled to begin at the end of October 2017.

“We are very excited to bring this unique international schooling experience to students and families in Dublin and welcome applications for our September 2018 intake from expatriate and Irish families. NAIS Dublin is Ireland’s first IB through international school. Students’ will experience world-class learning opportunities and global experiences to achieve outstanding academic results and a love for learning,” said Richard Davies, Operations Director for Nord Anglia International School Dublin.
