Parents looking for low-cost but fun ways to keep the kids entertained this Easter will not be disappointed.
The Irish Independent has compiled a list of the top events taking place over the next two weeks and there is plenty on offer.
Taking place in Tralee next week is the annual Samhlaiocht Arts Festival, which includes performances from famous circus duo the Fanzini Brothers.
"We've torn up the budget and given our accountant a good talking to in order to bring you an amazing variety of acts:
dancing ladies, a motorbike wall of death, the flying trapeze, and the world-famous Moroccan chicken throwers," the double act said.
Up in Galway, children visiting St Brigit's Garden on April 12th can take part in an Easter egg hunt, which will take place from 2pm until 5pm.
Meanwhile, events being held in the capital include Dublin Dance Festival 2009 and the Docklands Maritime Festival.
