A young school girl got her leg trapped between a luas tram and the foothpath at the Jervis Street shopping centre stop on the Red line before 8am this morning
Passengers and passers-by worked to try and free the girl by pushing the tram to the side. Video footage of the incident is
available on line which shows the girl crying out until she is freed after a few minutes. It is reported online that the school girl suffered leg injuries and was taken to the Mater Hospital as a precautionary measure.
The luas line was halted for a time during the incident. and it is understood that the incident is being investigated by Luas operator Transdev.
