My child has received an offer of a primary school place in both Belgrove junior school Clontarf & Green Lanes primary school Clontarf. I simply dont know which one to choose. Both have both positive and negitive aspects and I would really appreciate some advice as to what I should do. Mixed Vs single sx, smaller homely environment Vs larger school and uniform Vs no-uniform.

Have you made your choice already? I have the similar question right now - Greenlanes vs ET school in D5. The problem is there is very short time to make a decision. Have you discovered anything about the Greenlanes? What is the atmosphere in the school? How religious are they? How do children feel there? Which class your child will enrol?

Hi There,
Just checking to see if you got much response about Green Lanes School. I just got offered a place there and i dont know much about the school as i wasnt at the open day. Has anybody got any feedback about the school compared to other local schools like belgrove or raheny!.

Hi, I decided to go with Greenlanes in the end. It was a really nice school, not very religious, mixed, small. I got a really good feeling about it on the open day, it seems very homely and the teacher for junior infants was fantastic.

I have also decided with Greenlanes and was very lucky to get a place. I got such a lovely feeling from the school from the minute I walked into it. I am sure we have both made the correct decision. Good Luck.

And I made the same decision. :)
The first impression was really positive. Hope they are so ´not very religious´ as they declare. The school is very close to our home as well...
