Hi there,
I know it is pretty early to post this but I need to get finances sorted etc. I am due first baby Dec. 2011 and will be looking for a childminder from Sept. 2012 until end of May 2012. As I am a secondary school teacher I am just wondering if its possible to get a childminder who would work on these terms. We couldnt afford to pay a childminder during the holiday period (mid-term breaks, summer hols,xmas hols etc) so would like to know is this unreasonable to ask or are there childminders who are happy to go work in this way? I would require the childminder to come to our house in South Dublin. Hours would be Mon-Fri 8.15-4pm although Wed I would only require a childminder until 1.30 but will obviously pay for the full hours. Would really appreciate some ideas on this.

Hi I would be interested in talking to you further about this, as in where you live exactly, im in Glenageary, I posted an ad further down the page, highlighting it for teachers, so I am very interested. Iv just finished nearly 5 years as a montessori assistant, and have two children 18 and 15 of my own, I also have up to date first aid. Give me a buzz whenever suits on 0877521296

Thanks for reply. We will be living in Milltown until next July. After that we will be looking for a place further out, maybe Leopardstown, Stillorgan area. Would you be willing to look after a 10month old baby in our place? This area might not suit you and totally understand if its too far, plus its so far in advance that we could be somewhere else. Just want to ask you what your daily rate is and whether or not you charge for school holidays? If we do end up moving near your area I would be very interested in contacting you.
