Childminder/Live Out Au Pair needed, Sept Start, Portmarnock

Childminder/Live Out Au Pair needed, Sept Start, Portmarnock           reply
20/08/2018 21:41 - Dublin North Childminders
-----------------------------------
IMMEDIATE CHILDMINDER NEEDED PORTMARNOCK: Experienced, mature, energetic, patient, fun and responsible (safety conscious) au pair (aged 23+) or childminder needed to join our family and look after our three children (8 year old girl and 4.5year old twins) ideally, on a live out basis but live out also considered. The 8 year old attends a local school each day until 2.30pm. The twins will be cared for by the childminder at home and they attend montessori, 5 half days (in the afternoons) each week. We are seeking a caring, kind, happy person who can take care of our children full time Monday to Friday therefore this role does not suit anyone who attends English classes during the day. Our daughter attends Spanish classes and we are keen for our next au pair/chuildminder to also ensure she completes her school homework and her homework from Spanish class. We also have a cocker spaniel dog, so we are seeking someone is happy enough if a small-ish dog is around the house!! We are from a non-smoking home. A good understanding of English and considerable childcare experience is needed and references are required. Valid driving licence also preferred as we´re hoping the successful childminder won´t mind bringing our 8 year old to one or two activities locally, from time to time. We live in Portmarnock and are situated beside the sea, only 11 miles from Dublin. We are well serviced by public transport with buses, Darts and Diesel trains into the city centre, which takes c. 40mins. The tourist town of Malahide is reachable by foot and is a mere 2.5miles away. We are seeking a happy, bubbly person for 12 months, someone who is active with their day and shares similar interests to us; music, travelling, cultures, languages, sports, reading etc. Key duties include: - Helping our daughter to get up in the morning, dress herself, prepare breakfast and school lunch. - Feed, change, dress and mind the twins from morning to evening; taking them to montessori, for walks and doing activities with them. - Collect our 8 year old daughter from school; preparing lunch and completing homework. - Complete activities with 3 children (park, sports, outdoor pursuits, reading/library) and where the 8 year old has activities outside the home, it would be useful to drop her off and collect her on occasion although usually the grandparents, who live locally help out here! - Prepare dinner for the children. – Whilst we have a housekeeper 3 half days per week, some light housework throughout the day would be helpful (kids laundry, ironing, playroom tidy up etc). We are a happy, easy going family with a great support network in the area and there are always a spare set of hands to support. We like dining out, travelling and attending events in the city, when we can. We are really looking forward to welcoming a new person to our home! If you are interested, please email me with your CV and a photo to [removed] or phone me on [removed]. Ideally, we are seeking someone to start asap in mid-September 2018. Looking forward to hearing from you and sharing the adventure! With warmest regards, David and Jackie Reid, Portmarnock
