I´m thinking that for courses with near maximum points, those doing 6 Honours subjects but Ordinary Level Maths, will really be up against it. I really don´t think that is fair. I can see that it is an incentive to get pupils to take Higher Level Maths but why do it for Maths only?

For those hoping to take courses with near maximum points, most will probably be taking honours maths anyway. From what I hear, honours maths as a subject takes up twice as much study time as any other honours subject so maybe it´s fair but we won´t really know until we see how it effects cao offers next year.
