Part time childminder rates 25/06/2013 20:36 - How Much Should I Charge or Pay (Locality: Dublin North) ----------------------------------- Hi, I´ve been looking for someone to mind my 1 year old 2 mornings a week (6 hours per week in total) in their own home. I´ll drop her off after breakfast and pick her up before lunch so the minder won´t need to feed her. She´ll probably sleep for at least an hour of the time that she´s there. I posted an ad on Gumtree and I´ve had a few responses from people locally. One lady wants €60 per week and the other €45 per week. I need a minder because I´m starting my own business but if I pay as much as €10/hour I won´t make any money at all myself. I looked into childminder rates before posting my ad and people seem to charge €35-€45 for a full day so I was hoping that I´d be able to get something for between €30 and €40 for the 6 hours. Am I being unreasonable or are the ladies who have responded so far expecting too much? Any advice greatly appreciated!
