re : Rates of pay 25/05/2015 19:10 - Kildare Childminders ----------------------------------- Hi- i think their not paying u enough- it should be about €60/70 a day depending on hours- 10 hours is very long and at €5 an hour- far too little for 2kids- as well as u supplying food and school runs- that´s €20/30 out of your own money a week- just sit down and have a chat with parents before things get awkward- maybe if they can´t afford the extra pay- they could supply food and fuel allowance monthly? I was just wondering if I could get some feedback on how much you would expect to pay for good quality childcare.? I am currently caring for 2 lovely children but don´t think I´m charging enough I get 50e a day for a 10 hour day 1 full time and 1 school going ( school run is 70km a day) I provide all meals and do homework etc
I´m hoping to take on another child or family and want to start as I mean to go on I can´t help but feel bad for parents trying to work and pay for care so want to be as fair on them and me as possible
