Any one any view on whether 6th class child should be allowed choose secondary school?? A few months ago we reviewed all school options (Very lucky as schools in the area are very good) Child had a very structed approach - did a list of pro and cons of each school and eliminated them all except 2. Accepted to both, we confirmed place etc & all happy in the garden!. In the last week total turnaround, decided on school that she "did not want to attend" a few months ago. (Note We were happy with original choice). Now its all tantrums (when speakat at all) and wants us to arrange a meeting with principal to see if she can get a place. should we entertain??????
