Hey guys,

Have any of you had experience with Silent lunches in your schools?

Teachers would this be normal practice?

Parents what are your thoughts and views on these?

A silent lunch is where the children have to sit in silence to eat. I was told it was so that they eat their lunches, because some kids are very slow at eating.
The children are junior infants. From 4-5 years of age.

Sounds a little unfair if the kids have to eat their lunches in silence after being quiet all morning in class. Sounds a bit oppressive to me.
