hi
can anyone advise me on holding my child back a year as this now seems to no longer be an option,,,,
my daughter is going through some personal difficulties and i feel the added stress of a new school is at thia time best postponed
is it the teachers job to say my child cannot repeat or the board of education
any help will be appreciated

The DES do not want children to repeat and unless there is a specific educational problem will not make it easy.

thankyou for your reply,,but can they actually prevent her from repeating...
as she is not currently enrolled in a secondry school,,,,,

It seems to depend from place to place. Talk to the principal asap
