Hi, my name is deborah and I live in Glanmire.
I have a lovely house with a well fenced and protected back garden
we are non smokers and I have a great attention to hygiene in my house.
also, I cook every day fresh food for the children and make sure they eat a well balanced diet (pasta, vegetables, meat, fish, fresh fruit and home made bread and juices).
I´m a fully licensed driver and I have a 7 seater with extra car seats (so you don´t need to buy another one).
I do a lot with the children: we do something different everyday on a weekly basis, as it is my belief that the routine is very important for them and they feel more comfortable and secure knowing what is coming next. of course the activities depend on the age of the children, but in all we do baking, arts and crafts (I have tons of materials),dancing, singing, story telling (we have lots of books for all ages),swimming, gardening (we actually plant seeds, water plants and so on), walking (I think this is particularly important for children so that they can learn about nature and the different seasons of the year), playing outside as much as possible (weather permitting). On rainy days occasionally we could go to play in monkey maze or at the mezzanine floor in mahon point. I have loads of educational toys at home and the children get time to play by themselves as well.
I also spend a lot of time teaching the children all the colors, shapes, names of animals and so on.
there is of course time for them to be just themselves and play in total freedom, without me leading towards a specific activity, but with me always supervising them.
Once a week I go to the public library and we spend an afternoon reading and playing and of course we make new friends every time.
Also i try to involve the kids in conversations and activities related to every day life, so for example they help me setting the table for their dinner.
We do loads more of course cause i also improvise new things just by following what the children want to do.
