I studied school age childcare in Waterford College of Further Education. It is a one year course which gives a brilliant opportunity to complete work experience and undertake a garda vetting. I have recently au paired for two families. I first au paired for a 9 year old male in Scotland. My duties were too ensure the child´s health and well being was 100% at all times. I also had to plan day to day activities to keep the child active. I then au paired for a family in Co. Cork. I worked with 4 children aged 4-12 years old. I had the responsibility of waking children up for school, helping 4 and 6 year old get changed for school, prepare meals, light house work, help with homework, and prepare light meals and snacks. I am now babysitting for twin 1 year olds and their 2 year old siblings 3 days a week for 2 hours a morning. I would be delighted to discuss any queries you may have.
