school open day
| re : school open day            15/05/2007 17:36 - Parents Associations --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Think it´s probably the Principal´s perogative to decide which school events she wishes to have the PA involved in. Open Day probably wouldn´t be one of them unless she wanted to provide tea/coffee to parents visiting the school I´d imagine it is quite common for Principals to call on different parents for assistance as required - personally don´t think it something the PA should be too concerned about.

| school open day            14/05/2007 20:12 - Parents Associations --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The principal in our school is holding an open day. While she does not want the P.Assoc involved she has asked two mums, who are on the P.A., to assist her on the day. Just wondering what your views would be if these particular parents did help and said they were doing it as private individuals rather than as members of the P.A.

It would be different if she openly asked for 2 particular members of the P.A. and made an issue of it, but you are obviously there as mums and not to promote the P.A. so that is much different. Enjoy it.
