Homeschool Help for Parents with Trigg 4 Tables
While Covid 19, lockdowns and helping our kids with online school has had a massive impact on our lives, there has also been a lot of help offered from writers, artists, teachers and fitness instructors. They have given their time and expertise to create online initiatives for our families.
A big thank you to Irish Mum Edel O'Sullivan for creating Trigg4Tables, an online Math resource suitable for Primary School children.
Edel found screen time her biggest battle with her son so she decided to try to turn it to her advantage. Edel initially built a little program that allowed him to complete Irish spellings on his computer and waited for the results of his weekly spellings test. To her surprise he did better than he had done when she was calling them out and with a lot less frustration. So the seed was sown and Edel moved onto tables.
As homeschooling became the norm Edel decided to make Trigg4Tables available online. Edel said "I’m just a mam and not a teacher or front line worker but this is something small I felt I could do to help other parents and children. My own son had just started secondary so Trigg was having way too easy a life sitting on my computer."
