Our Education Programme provides a variety of exciting workshops that are based on hands-on enquiry and experiential learning. Workshops can be delivered either in our unique Centre in Ballymun, in your own classroom, or virtually online! The Rediscovery Centre is an accredited SFI Discover Centre, and our educators are trained in the delivery of environmental education and Garda vetted.
Our primary education workshops are 90 minutes in duration and link to the primary level curriculum through a range of subjects including Science, Maths, SPHE, Visual Art and Geography. Our education workshops for primary level cover a variety of environmental and STEM topics, and link with the Sustainable Development Goals.
Each workshop features a presentation, a range of interactive activities, and ends with a feedback session to encourage the students to share what they have learned!

The Rediscovery Centre second level education workshops are 90 minutes in duration and link to the secondary curriculum through a range of subjects including Science, Maths, Geography, CSPE, Applied Technology Engineering, Home Economics and ESS. The workshops cover a variety of environmental and STEM topics, and link with the Sustainable Development Goals.
Each workshop aims at developing students’ knowledge on the topic, as well as equipping them with critical thinking and practical skills. Each workshop features a presentation, a range of interactive activities, and ends with a feedback session to encourage the students to share what they have learned! The workshops are suitable for 1st - 6th year students and are particularly relevant for TY classes.

The Rediscovery Centre offers school tours for primary schools that are fun, educational and include hands-on activities, games, experiments and arts and crafts to stimulate children's curiosity and interest in our natural environment. Your students will be able to explore our Centre, which holds extraordinary examples of what can be done when waste is seen as an opportunity rather than a problem.
