Why We Love It

Teens are always looking for a detox cleanse that will give them healthy skin, hair and nails. Be the cool parent and let them in on this salad secret!

Apples and cabbage provide a fibre -laden meal that will satisfy cravings and keep you fuller for longer!

Add a pinch of cayenne pepper to give the salad an extra burst of flavour, it will also boost your metabolism!


What You'll Need


½ x Head of Savoy Cabbage
½ x Head of Red Cabbage
1 x Green Apple
¼ x Red Onion
½ x Cup of Chopped Walnuts
½ x Raisins
Dressing:
2 Tbsp x Apple Cider Vinegar
Pinch of Cayenne Pepper
3 x Tbsp Greek Yoghurt
2 tsp x Agave Nectar
1 tsp x Fennel Seeds
Pinch of Salt






Method


Slice the cabbage, apple and red onion into extremely thin slices resembling shredded paper. Transfer to a large bowl. Add walnuts and raisins and toss gently.


In a separate bowl, mix together the ingredients for the dressing. Use a whisk to make sure the dressing is well mixed.


Pour the dressing sparingly all over the salad. Mix the salad until the dressing coats most of it.



Et Voilá! Make the salad in a large batch that you can keep on hand in the fridge for an easy peasy lunch throughout the week! Would even work well as a sandwich filler with pulled pork.
