School Tours at King John’s Castle Limerick


King John’s Castle in the heart of Medieval Limerick allows your students to experience 800 years of history all brought to life in our stunning exhibition. 21st Century touch-screen technology and 3D Models will connect students to tales of Siege and Warfare. Interact with our costumed guides who will tell you secrets and scandals of Castle life.

Meet with the Blacksmith, Moneyer, Norman Soldier and Siege Women of the time.

King of the Castle Tour - €6.50 per student

A self- guided tour that encompasses all elements of the castle, courtyard and exhibition

Join the Jester Tour - €10 per student

Let one of our colourful castle characters take you and your class on an interactive toru throughout the castle, courtyard and exhibition.



School Tours at Bunratty Castle & Folk Park


From the turbulent history within the castle walls to the charming window into an Ireland of old, experience the sights, sounds and smells, meet the characters and visit the animals of this enchanting folk park setting.

The Bunratty Explorer - €7 per child

A self-guided tour that encompasses all elements of the folk park. Highlights include:

GPO Witness History Museum


Bring your class on a journey back through time!

At the heart of revolutionary Dublin the GPO Museum is a living monument to those who fought for independence in 1916 and beyond!

Discover 100 years of Irish History and the personal stories of those who lived through Ireland’s fight for independence. Explore the location of an actual 1916 battle site and learn its importance to national and international events at the time.

A Tour with Our Expert Guides.

They will take you on a tour through the museum as they bring Modern Irish history to life for your class. €6 limited availability book early to avoid disappointment

The Handling Collection Tour.

Follow our expert guides on a Discovery Trail through the GPO Museum. Objects usually out of reach behind glass cases will be presented as part of the tour making history a reality for your class. €8.50

Craggaunowen – Bronze Age Park


Explore engage and discover at Ireland’s original award winning pre-historic park. Learn the roots of the people, animas and artefacts of our Celtic ancestors over 1000 years ago. Cross the threshold onto our famous crannog and see, smell and experience life on this unique homestead. A true living history experience.

Wandering Warriors Tour - €6.50 per student

A tour through the complex including castle, crannóg , ringfort and Brendan Boat.

Living History Experience - €12 per student

Guided Tour of complex plus 2 of the following activities of your choice.

A new programme designed around the SESE curriculum including a half day workshop in your classroom by one of our costumed guides followed by a visit to the Craggaunowen Living Past Experience .

Malahide Castle and Gardens


Explore the 800-year-old castle with a guided tour designed especially for primary school students.

See the rooms where the Lords and Ladies of Malahide lived for hundreds of years, hear tales of battles and banquets and learn more about the infamous Malahide Castle ghosts!

Then continue the fun outdoors. Younger students can get caught up in the magic of our fun woodland Fairy Trail while nature-loving students will adore the Butterfly House. It’s the only one in the Republic of Ireland and it’s right here in our Walled Garden. Watch the colourful creatures flutter their wings and see how many of the 20 different species your students can pick out.

Newbridge House and Farm


Newbridge House and Farm is the perfect spot to host your primary school tour. Over 300 years old, the Georgian mansion is full of secrets and stories which the dedicated tour guides are waiting to share with your class.

The traditional farm offers an up-close encounter with pigs, goats, ducks, horses, donkeys, chicks and much more, including an interactive Farm Discovery Trail for younger visitors.
