UL Sport Climbing Wall is an all-new state-of-the-art climbing wall located next to the University of Limerick Sports Arena. It is the latest addition to the already impressive range of sports facilities at the university.
Currently the tallest indoor climbing wall, a staggering 18 metres from floor to top.
The UL Sport Climbing Wall is open to the public and offers a range of services for groups and individuals.

School Groups:
Give your students the chance to climb Ireland's only Olympic-standard climbing wall. We currently offer 3 school packages for both Primary and Secondary schools.
The Vertical Limit Package:
The vertical limit is a 1.5-hour session with a qualified rock-climbing instructor. Each student will get the chance to climb on our bouldering wall before taking learning the ropes and excepting to new heights. All equipment is provided.
Price: €20
The Cliff Hanger Package:
Why not get more out of your trip with our Cliff Hanger session. This is a 2.5-hour session that includes at least 1 hour of rock climbing, while also choosing from two other activities. Your students can try out orienteering skills or take on our team challenges!
Price: €25
The Trifecta Package:
Make the most out of your visit with this 3-hour fun-filled session of activities. With this package, everyone gets three activities. Choose from the following:
- Archery
- Climbing
- Orienteering
- Team Challenges
- Abseiling (group size dependant)
Note: Rain jackets may be need for orienteering and team challenges.
Birthday Parties:
Our birthday party package includes 1.5 hours of climbing fun with one of our experienced instructors. All equipment is included. Parents can stay and watch. Every child will get a chance at climbing Ireland’s tallest indoor climbing wall. Our qualified team will ensure a safe fun experience for every child.
