to Watch with the Kids

this Mid Term on

Ella Enchanted

A live action musical with some laughs? What else could you ask for in a family feel-good movie! Ella Enchanted isn't your typical princess movie however. It is a spoof fairytale which incorporates all the best characteristics of Shrek along with the entertainment of live pantomimes.

Brother Bear

If the kids haven't seen this movie yet then they are in for a heart-warming treat! It is a story about an Native American who gets turned into a bear in punishment for leaving a young bear cub motherless and in turn he learns how to open his heart. Careful, this one might pull on your own heart strings!

The Rescuers

Ah, the nostalgia! We're sure the kids will love this golden oldie adventure flick, a classic from your own childhood. Follow two heroic mice from the Rescue Aid society as they seek to save a little girl who was kidnapped by the wicked Madame Medusa.

Ratatouille

Ratatouille is a great film that will fill a rainy evening with fun entertainment for the whole family. Remy the Rat has big dreams that become reality when he somehow lands the head chef gig at a failing restaurant but is the world ready to accept a rat in the kitchen?

Spirit

This is a movie you may not have heard of but, trust us, the kids will love it! Spirit is an energetic stallion, voiced by Matt Damon, that has to fight for his freedom from men trying to tame him. The movie is visually stunning and if there are any Bryan Adams fans reading this, you'll be glad to know that the soundtrack is one you will enjoy too!

Dragons: Race to the Edge

If your kids fell in love with Toothless in the movie How to Train your Dragon and the second movie, then keep this show up your sleeve for a slow day over the mid term!

Pokemon

Another blast from the past that is now available on Netflix! There is a reason this show amassed a cult following! Kids just love it! Get reacquainted with Ash and Pikachu and all the other pokemon.

The Blue Planet

Who doesn't love watching nature documentaries, especially with David Attenborough as the narrator! Plus the kids will be mesmerised by the wonders of the deep ocean while, hopefully, learning some fun facts along the way!

Life

Another David Attenborough favourite to spark your child's imagination in an informative and educational way. The kids will love learning about all the weird and wonderful animals our planet has to offer!

There's lots more!

There are too many shows to count for kids on Netflix! If you already have an account then you may have already come across their kids section, ideal for the children to choose their own shows without anything inappropriate showing up!

If the weather does pick up during the week, then why not have a look at some of the events on around the country?

Hope you enjoy the break!
