Congratulations to St. Aiden´s NS on the overall win! Congratulations also to the 25 other schools who got awards!
The National FS Film Festival took place today (Wednesday, 3rd November 2010) in the Helix at Dublin City University. The President of Ireland, Mary McAleese, was in attendance to award the overall winners, St Aiden´s NS, Sligo with the Aileen MacKeogh Award. The winning film was entitled Awful Arabella. In addition to this, award-winning producer Cathal Gaffney, from Brown Bag Films, also presented twenty-five other awards to the children. RTEs popular childrens presenter, Sinead Kennedy hosted the event. Awards were presented to schools to celebrate their outstanding film achievements in areas such as animation, acting, editing and direction. Over eight hundred children and their teachers from all over Ireland attended the event.
