With school projects and class tests upon us once again, finding a few useful resources that may help the kids out can be extremely beneficial. With the world of technology growing with each and every day, the availability of fantastic learning resources online increases exponentially. Many kids struggle with maths from a young age and a helping hand along the way could be exactly what they need.


With kids more tech savvy than ever, they love to get their hands on smartphones and tablets and will love exploring the world of online learning in this way. Here we outline three of the best websites to help your kids out with their maths skills:

Here is a simple site to allow kids practice their times tables independently, freeing up parents and making learning a bit more fun.

The website’s purpose is to provide fun activities that parents can do with their children to develop their literacy and numeracy. It includes general information, fun activities and useful tips. Help My Kid Learn is a website where people can see that supporting a child’s literacy and numeracy development is a natural, easy and fun activity that can be integrated into any part of their day.


ixl.com


IXL focuses on encouraging children to have fun while learning maths. The website is directly aligned to the Irish primary, Junior Cert and Leaving Cert curriculums, offering endless practice problems and exercises. The site caters for students at all levels, ranging from junior infants up to fifth year. IXL offers kids a chance to learn basic and more complicated maths skills in a fun and exciting way. Site membership fees apply (starts at €9.95 per month).



Mathletics.eu

Over 100,000 students in Europe are now using Mathletics, with more joining every day. Mathletics can be used by schools or by students studying on their own. Students of all ages are catered for, with a ‘Mathletics Hall of Fame’ displayed on the site, encouraging students into healthy competition with one another. With parent reporting enabling parents to monitor their child’s progress and a wide range of tools and resources available, mathletics is a new and engaging way for kids to improve on those all important maths skills. (€59 per child per 12 month subscription)

I wanted to suggest a new website that could help students to prepare for the maths leaving cert exam, mathXplain.com is completely free and uses colourful slides in a funny and easy to understand way.

These 3 websites are really useful. But there is another one that I am sharing here i.e championtutor.hk This website also help your kids in Mathematics.
