Likewise a minder should not charge less if she is minding in her own home and takes on a new child. In fact its brilliant for kids to have other children to socialise with , if anything it might benefit the child being minded. Hope that helps. Best of luck.

I have a friend who worked in childcare for the last few years & has her own baby now, nearly 11 months old...When she is asked about her having her own baby along for the day too she doesn´t seem to be getting a positive response...parents seem concerned about it as if she wouldn´t be able to give their child full attention... Or even worse they don´t say the reason why but she has gotton a ´hmm´ response when she mentions having her baby along for the day too... We were discussing it & thought maybe people expected her to charge less or something... I told her I think it great for a child to have some company...she certainly has the experience in caring for 2+ smallies at the same time. Many thanks for the replies
