You need to set your own terms and conditions that makes your service work for you so that your happy with what you agree with parents. Some charge for holidays, bank holidays and some don´t. Equally it has to sit well with parents or you´ll have no children. Have you got any feedback from parents or what other childminders in your area do..

Actually just re read your post...parents holidays def charge if your available to work...I thought you were meaning your own holidays,,,

I´m a childminder and I charge once I´m available, doing child is sick or on hols I charge!
If I´m I´m hols or sick, I don´t charge (but a few do)

Hello, question for childminders. Are you charging anything for those weeks when parents are on holidays to keep childs space? Like parents usually takes 4-6 weeks holiday per year. Like even half pay or how are you doing? I´m registred, insured and everything.

No no, on my own holidays I don´t except anything, because parents need to pay for someone else who can mind their kids when I´m on holidays. Just was thinking what other childminders do ?
