-----------------------------------
We have set up a Play Therapy Centre in Portarlington catering for children and Families in the Laois/Offaly/Kildare area. Play is vital to every child´s social, emotional cognitive, physical, creative and language development. Play Therapy helps children in a variety of ways. Children receive emotional support and can learn to understand more about their own thoughts and feelings.

Sometimes children experience difficulties that may cause disruption to their lives. Play therapy provides a child the opportunity to "play out" their thoughts, feelings and problems. Play is the child´s natural way of communication.

Play Therapy is a useful intervention for all children as it facilitates them in making sense of the world, reaching their potential and developing resilience and emotional intelligence.

At the listening tree Play therapy centre we work with children ranging from 3-14 years of age. We work with childre who
