Hello all, am registering my little fella for schools in the area (Dublin 7) Educate Together is my preferred school but he´s way down on the list. If I apply to national (catholic) schools, will the fact he´s not baptised be an issue? Can they discriminate this way?

ALso, anyone know if you can apply to multiple educate together schools at one time? I might be moving...

Thanks muchly.

Hi
You can put his name down for as many ET schools as you wish and the area will not be relevant.

only time it may be a problem if school is oversubscribed but most national schools only look for birth cert ...I only needed my childs baptism cert when it was time for communion...don´t see why you can´t put your childs name down in as many schools as you like though I think most schools take from the immediate area so if your address is outside area you will be at bottom of list
