Hi,
The Children´s House is a private Montessori. Scoil Naisiunta Lorcan is a boys´ school. Our Lady´s Grove Goatstown-just up the road -is co-ed & I recommend it highly as my third child (10 year old boy) goes there & it´s brilliant for teaching & after school activities-also has before & after school care as well as preschool.

Hi there,

We´re moving to Dublin soon and looking at buying around the Mount Merrion/Kilmacud area (maybe around Deerpark). Can anyone advise what primary schools are in the area (preferably walking distance), both boys, girls & mixed. Also how can I find out which ones are fee paying & how much fees are? I´ve had a look at the listings on this site & on education.ie and this is what I´ve come up with:

Mixed Primary:
National School San Treasa
The Children´s House (is this a special school?)
St. Raphael´s National School (would this be walking distance to Deerpark area?)

Boys Primary:
Scoil Naisuinta Naomh Lorcan

Girls Primary:
Mount Anville

Have I missed any? Can anyone advise on the fee-paying question?

Many thanks.

Hi Rola

San Treasa is a good school and is in walking distance to Deerpark.

I think that St Raphael´s would be about a 15 minute walk but across some quite busy roads.

I have no knowledge of Scoil Naisuinta or The Children´s House.

Mount Anville is a fee paying school. You can view a list of fee paying primary schools by clicking on the following link

Hope this helps a little
