Hi, I have been asked to mind three children during term time in children´s own home. Children are 3,4 and 9 months. Oldest two will be at preschool from 9am until 12pm 5 days a week. The hours are 8.30sm until 4pm. I will to the drop of and collection from preschool. I have been offered 600 per week. Is this the going rate?

Sounds about right for 3 siblings.

Thanks for replying. I´m happy with 600 and the fact position is term time. My friend who has childminded before seems to think I should be paid more.

Yes term time is great. I think if you had 3 children from different families you would get more but generally there is a reduction when it’s siblings.
Make sure you clarify exactly what days you are paid for (some people expect to be paid for midterm etc, others don’t). Also if children are off sick do you still get paid. Who provides food? Just a few things to consider if you’ve not minded before. Best of luck.

I´m minding children in their own home so no food costs and house is within walking distance. Thank you for replying.
