What should I be paying? 29/05/2012 13:33 - How Much Should I Charge or Pay (Locality: Dublin South) ----------------------------------- Looking for someone to mind my ten month old baby for either one or two days a week in the minder´s home. I´ve made numerous enquiries on here and other boards with people who have advertised. When I ask for a daily rate, I get quoted in most instances ten euro per hour (rather than a daily rate). One or two have been twelve euro per hour. I should probably have made it clear that by ´per day´ I would mean no longer than a six hour day, probably 10 to 4. eur60 for six hours (or eur120 for two short days) seems to be considerably more than what people on here are paying. Is it that people quote an hourly rate of ten euro with the expectation that I won´t pay it? It just seems odd that everyone seems to quote that amount and yet no-one is paying it.

Most childminders that I know charge around 40 euros a day for minding in their own home (childminders home). Hope you get sorted soon.
