I am heading back to work early october and was just wondering if there was any advice out there re cost of chidcare etc. I have 3 children, aged 4, 3 and 1, the eldest is starting school in sept. My preference would be to have someone to come into the house. Hours would be 8am to 6pm mon-fri. Also when would be the best time to advertise position? Previously I had a childminder who minded the older 2 in her own home. All suggestions welcome!!

You would have to speak to the childminder to work out a rate that would be fare to you both. If I was in your situation I would advertise ASAP just so you have enough time to find a suitable minder.
