do you think it is right for a parent association to say what goes in a school with the uniform change. the uniform has been the same for many a year this year the parent association decided to change it not asking the parents what they think or can they afford to change it. it was a plain navy jumper and now they have the school crest on it. what do you think i think we should have been asked what do we think and put to a vote

If the school now has a crested jumper it will definitely be more expensive as you can probably no longer buy from the shop of your choice but will have to go to a particular supplier. It might be an idea to suggest to the PA that for a year or two at least, parents have the options of buying just the crest and sewing it on to jumpers. In this way they can still choose to buy your navy jumper in Dunnes etc or use jumpers that have already been bought or that you want to hand down. I´m sure it would be possible for the manufacturer they are using (or a different manufacturer) to just supply the crest as well.
