Becareful if mum is a friend, iv never minded anyone I know or family. This way it´s very easy keep it professional with no upset.
Iv found people often looking for less than is required first, get a price and then slip in the extra hours, kids, requests etc. I avoid these types.

Yeah I think 200 is too much, doesn´t sit right with me. I think 160. Then I´m only charging an extra 30 for each extra child.

I charge €8.50 per hour - but that´s daytime, and would equal over €220
Maybe €150???
You´ll have them for 26 hours

I appreciate its 26 hours and antisocial but as your saying your looking for future work off this parent, perhaps it´s only me but alot of childminders mind one child for the full week for around the figure discussed. Will the children sleep? Are the parents working?

hello I am a childminder and I have been asked would I do an over night and what I charge. I don´t know what is a fair price. It will be two kids and the parents will be away from Sunday at 11 until Monday at 1. please advise me. I want to be fair and I would like to possibly get regular work from this woman. thanks in advance

Wow 200.00 is a lot I mind children and I did 40 hours with 2 children and fed them and one with severe allergies for 150.00. Kids will be in bed.

Is has now changed to 4 children, over night, a 26 hour period. Should I just double what I was charging for 2 ? Thanks for all the advice so far. It´s really been helpful.

Sounds a bit bizarre to have and pay two people to mind 5 kids, especially when one has to mind one on their own BUT that aside, I wouldn´t double the price!
Maybe add €25-€35 per kid (after the two initial kiddies) unless they involve night feeds etc

Because I know her I was offering to do the over night for 100e when it was just two . I think there will be two even younger ones now. One is a special needs child´s. Either way do you think 200e for all four for 26 hours is ok? She´s a person I know and like and would like to keep her as a friend and keep her business.
