Candidates who appealed their leaving certificate results will be able to review the result of their appeal online via
examinations.ie from midday today. The results are available in the schools this morning and have also been transmitted electronically to the Central Applications Office.
The State Examinations Commission has advised that 8,192 students lodged appeals and 1,637 upgrades were issued to students which repesents 0.46% of all results awarded in this year’s exams. Three very unlucky students who had appealed had their results downgraded.
Candidates who are dissatisfied with the outcome of their appeal have recourse to the Independent
Appeals Scrutineers which is independent of the State Examinations Commission.
A breakdown of the number and outcome of appeals by subject can be viewed with the
Examinations Commission Press Release.
