Schools to get nearly 3 week break over Easter 2016

Posted by SchoolDays Newshound on 18/03/2014. Schools to get nearly 3 week break over Easter 2016Tags: Parenting Teachers

If you’re looking for an extended break over Easter with the kids, without them missing any school, Easter 2016 is the year to do it!

As Easter falls very early in 2016, this means that only one school day – Friday March 18 – separates St Patrick's Day and the start of the Easter school holidays. As a result, the relevant authorities and negotiating groups have been decided that schools will receive an extra day off on Friday 18th March (though it will have to be made up during the year.) As a result, schools will finish on Wednesday 16th March 2016 and not re-open until Monday 4th April 2016.
