Coláiste Naomh Eoin, Inis Meáin have been offering mainland students the opportunity to study on the Island since 2002 through a state funded boarding scheme, an initiative which has proven extremely successful for participating students. Fluency in our native language and an appreciation of our culture is this scheme’s greatest achievement. Coláiste Naomh Eoin is also exceling academically at national level and for the past three consecutive years, a number of our pupils have received State Bursaries for best regional results in their leaving certificate examinations.


Inis Meáin has long attracted the attention of great scholars such as JM Synge, WB Yeats, Lady Gregory, Thomas Mc Donagh, Patrick Pearse to name but a few thus sharing our language and our culture is now also part of our heritage.



Coláiste Naomh Eoin, Inis Meáin, Aran Islands are currently recruiting students for all years for the 2017-2018 academic year with particular emphasis on first and second year students and the ever popular transition year. Complete Boarding scholarships are offered, which includes subsistence and accommodation for an entire academic year for successful candidates with the added option to complete their entire second level education with us.


This package also includes afterschool study supervised by the teachers, language support classes and an abundance of extracurricular activity including Drama, art workshops, exercise and fitness, music, community events and team building.
