| Astronomy Ireland's Education And Outreach Initiative | Astronomy Ireland is now spearheading a campaign to promote science and astronomy to schools and other groups around Ireland. This exciting project involves a talk given to school groups, lasting approximately 60 minutes, with time for a question and answer session at the end. The talk can be tailored to suit your school's needs. The talk itself will cover topics such as: Planets and their Moons, Comets and Meteorites, Fireballs, Galaxies, Other Solar System Objects. | The Kids Party Club perform Educational Puppet Shows in National Schools based on the Dept. of Education SPHE curriculum subjects. Shows on ‘Bullying’ and ‘Healthy Eating’ are currently available with more in development. A mobile mini zoo providing informative lectures about wildlife, giving numerous opportunities to handle animals. There will be time afterwards for questions and answers. | Safer cycling Initiative will be providing safer cycling tuition through schools in various counties in the north west, west and south west. We are located in Galway (main office) and Limerick, we currently have six qualified tutors, who will be calling to national schools fully equipped with up to 30 bikes. Helmets will be provided to all pupils. The pupils will keep the helmets upon successful completion of the course. Dogs Trust Workshops For Primary Schools | Dogs Trust visit schools in Dublin to help educate young people about the consequences of irresponsible dog ownership, through our Schools Workshop Programme and our curriculum linked classroom resources. Our exciting programme offers a variety of workshops that really get children involved. We use engaging activities and games using the theme of dog ownership as a means to help pupils develop key skills. | A DRUM NATURE school workshop will transform your school into an exciting rhythm orchestra. With the aid of clear and simple facilitation, each class will get the opportunity to play different drums and percussion instruments from around the world and create collective rhythms together.
