‘Punch and Judy’ with Ding and Dong!	Custard Pie’s comical duo Ding and Dong kick off this lively show as they get ready for Halloween, but as usual plans turn to chaos and bedlam as they try to out-scare each other! Renowned puppeteer Conor Lambert entertains us with his unique (Dublin) adaptation of ‘Punch and Judy’ A very naughty Mr. Punch is left with the task of minding the house while Judy gets busy with other important chores, Mr. Punch’s inability to take on the simplest of chores leads to hilarious consequences involving the Gardai! Halloween Festival 2011 Slieve Aughty Riding Centre	The perfect family day out, this year's Halloween Festival promises to be as spooky as ever, with ghosts and goblins, haunted houses, costumes, face painting, petting farm, pony rides, arts and crafts, pumpkin treats and more. Terrifying Terror House Spirits of Meath Halloween Festival	This Halloween something very spooky is happening in Tayto Park. We don’t know why and we don’t know how, but this October The Rafter Room over The Lodge will be mysteriously transformed into a Terrifying Terror House. Scarecrow Making with Oulala Productions Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre	Scarecrows cannot be taken away on the day, they will be displayed on Sunday 30th in the Walled Garden for the best scarecrow competition and can be collected after the 31st October. Booking is essential for all events. Limited places available. Parental supervision is required at all times. Bookings open on 1st October. Maxmimum booking 2 places per person. Pumpkin Train and Halloween celebrations at Rathwood Rathwood	One of the main activities is Rathwood’s Pumpkin Train ride, where children get to visit the forest onboard of the Rathwood train. At the end of the train ride, each kid will get to pick a locally grown pumpkin from the Pumpkin Patch. The Rathwood Witches will then help the children carve their pumpkins so they can bring them home. Kids are encouraged to dress up as there is a prize for the best fancy dress. Kells Samhain 2011 St. Colmcille’s House	Stories by the inimitable Gemma McGowan and the matchless Janet Farrer-Bone! Afterwards - a Feast from the Witch's Cauldron at Jack’s Railway Bar. The artist Patrick Morris will be burning a ritual Fire Sculpture. The town will be surrounded by the Scarecrow Event on the main approach roads to Kells - created by the artist Mark Smith, representing Celtic Gods. There will be a fancy dress in the Railway Bar too afterwards so join in the spirit of the event if you feel like it! Halloween Creepy Crawlie Fun Camp Bog of Allen Nature Centre	Are you looking for some fun activities for your children during the Halloween midterm break? The Bog of Allen Nature Centre will be holding a Halloween Creepy Crawlie Fun Camp for students aged 7-13 years. The camp will be held on Tuesday 1st November between 10am and 1pm. Activities on the day will include pond dipping, creepy crawlie hunt in our insect hotel, bat crafts and a visit to our flytraps exhibition.
