Free Family Halloween  Fun Day at Aughnanure Castle, Oughterard                                       This Halloween themed family day promises to be packed full of frightfully fun activities to excite and delight parents and children alike. Free admission will be offered to everyone on the day. Children can look forward to a treasure hunt, face painting, Halloween games and a fancy dress competition. Schools and after-school clubs are also invited to enter the school's art competition themed A Spooktacular Castle, where children have to draw or paint the castle according to this theme. All entries must reach the castle before Friday, October 23rd. Winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded on the day.

Legends of Lough Key Adventure
We invite you on a magical adventure deep within Lough Key Forest Park celebrating the mystery and lore of this ancient place and featuring a family adventure festival, packed full of amazing activities. Featuring a 10k run, the SpooKey fun run, a giant treasure hunt, the mighty Moylurg abseil and zip wires and a quirky kayak adventure around the islands of the Lough, the ancient seat of the Kings of Moylurg will come alive this Halloween with the Legends of Lough Key Adventure Fest.

Halloween Fun at GAA Museum
Frazzled parents looking for something to occupy their energetic youngsters during the midterm break will be relieved to know that the GAA Museum has plenty of Halloween themed fun planned for the week. From Monday 26th onwards,  young visitors to the museum will have to play detective in order to discover if their tour guide is telling lies, or actually telling the truth, on the popular ‘telling tall tales tour’, those who detect their guides lies will be rewarded with some Halloween treats.  The Halloween Mask Workshop on Saturday 31st October. Ages 6+ Booking is essential as places are limited.

The Ballymun Otherworld Halloween Festival
The Ballymun "Otherworld Festival" is Dublin's biggest Halloween event. This year the festival will transform the Plaza in front of the Civic Centre and axis on Main Street into “Hallowmun” a freaky, crazy town where anything can happen on Halloween night. Hallowmun will come alive with a poetry graveyard, a Play Zone, a Youth Zone music tents, 'thrilling' dancers and performers, costume & makeup stalls, freaky cocktails bar, jokes corner, food stalls, fireworks display and much more. Gerbola Circus is also back in town this year with circus performance workshops for children, young people and youth workers, in the run up to Halloween night. The festival will close with an amazing fireworks display. Meeting Point for the Halloween Parade is at Days Hotel at 5.50pm. Groups will parade down Main Street Ballymun and into “Hallowmun”
