Halloween fest at Slieve Aughty
It’s a spooky time at Slieve Aughty during the Halloween Festival, with ghosts and goblins galore, haunted houses, Halloween tricks and treats, scary stories, costumes and face painting, horses and ponies to pet and ride, arts and crafts and the Howl-o-Ween Charity Ride. A family event, enjoy the fresh air of autumn with a walk to the haunted house, and for the little one’s go on a witch’s walk (a short walk to Slieve Aughty’s enchanted wood) and fill out your own Halloween nature journal.

Have a howl of a Halloween in 2013 at Westport House’s annual Halloween Fest. You and your little monsters will have a hauntingly good time as you experience the thrills ‘n’ chills of the Pirate Adventure Park – you will board the eerie Westport House Express train ride, get into high ‘spirits’ on the swinging ship and the pedal Go Karts and take the plunge to death on the log flume water ride. We love dressing up at Westport House so don’t let us be the only ones looking scarily good - make full use of your Hallowe’en costume and come down dressed to impress!

Galway goes Boo!
Galway will get gruesome at this time of year with the return of the Galway Aboo Halloween Festival, (October 26th – 28th), in the city’s atmospheric Latin Quarter. The medieval streets will host one of the country’s biggest Halloween Festivals with enough free, fun events to raise the dead. High spirits guaranteed!

The whole family can join forces and take part in Ballina’s Fancy dress car treasure hunt. Adults can also look forward to the scary woods walk and Scary Woods Survivor Bash party in local bars, history trail of Leigue cemetery, movie horror night in Ballina Arts centre and many fringe events taking place in Ballina town over the long bank holiday weekend. A festival for all with arts, crafts, music and entertainment, Ballina is the only pace to be this Halloween, and its only getting bigger and better every year!
