Childminder to come to my home

Childminder to come to my home           reply

All,

I was looking for a bit of advice. We will be requiring a childminder in August 2016 for an 8 month old baby, all day, and a 3 year old, afternoons only, for 4 days a week.

Can you please give me an idea of pricing for a childminder to come to our house for such a role? Are childminders paid a similar price for minding in their own home and our home?

Many thanks...

If a childminder comes into your home you are then classed as an employer and should register with revenue as such. Tax, prsi, holidays etc all come into play.
This would cost at least minimum wage but for two children it probably would be closer to €10 per hour.
If you were to take the children to a minders home it be cheaper. I charge €60 per day for siblings.
