I work with a high functioning 11-year-old boy for three hours every Sat & a 10-year-old bou is joining us for life skills as well as maths, & phonics. We plan trips to museums, shop for groceries from a list, read timetables & maps. The boys each have their own wallet with coins to pay their own bus/train/Luas fares, ask shop assistants for help & order their own meals when we go for meals. I point out landmarks & drill the boys in getting their bearings & tracing the routes we take. Do you think this might be of benefit to Oscar? Please phone me to discuss possibilities.
