Anyone any ideas to stop an 8 yr old nailbiting. Have tried the usual paint on deterrents that you buy in the shops but he seems to like them!

I know its a wjile back since you posted this but Im just new and my 11yr son does the same, it tends to be during school when he says he is ´bored´, but recently at home so I tried to engage him in little projects at home to see - helping making dinner, arts & crafts - keeping his mind of it, it worked for that period but when we didn´t do stuff he atart biting again. To be honest people say its boredom, nerves?? I think its a stage and hopefully will grow out of...
